About the role:

  • The candidates will oversee the warehousing and logistics function, plan and coordinate and monitor logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes;
  • The role is also responsible for materials and equipment storage and warehousing to optimize equipment utilization, select the most cost-effective routings and and plan / book these shipments with approved carriers, comply with the selection of preferred contracted carriers or internal fleet, and secure delivery as per the established service level.

 Key Performance areas:

  • Materials and equipment management;
  • Supply chain management;
  • Freight management;
  • Efficient and effective management of permits required to support oil and gas operations;
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degrees in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Business Administration, Transportation, or Engineering.
  • 4 years’ experience in Logistics, stock control and warehousing with minimum 2 years’ experience related to the Oil & Gas and Mining industry in operations;
  •  Freight, cargo, customs and forwarding experience will be an added advantage;
  • Knowledge in road and air freight industry;
  • Ability to follow directions and company policies including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) standards and procedures;
  • Code B driver’s license.

Skills and attributes required for success:

  • Sound Excellent communication skills (oral and writing);
  • Excellent IT skills including up-to-date working knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook;
  • Planning & organizing skills;
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Have a ‘can do’ approach and works to exceed expectations.
  • Ability to juggle priorities and understand the urgency of all tasks and completing projects/tasks in as short-as-possible time without sacrificing quality or compromising on standards;
  • High ethical Standards;
  • Dynamic with eagerness to learn, self-disciplined and the ability to work in a pro-active manner;
